7. 9. 2010 - As early as this afternoon, technicians at the largest multifunctional arena in the Czech Republic will turn on a giant ‘refrigerator’ for O2 arena’s rink to be again covered with ice by the end of the business week. The ice is always melted when the ice hockey season ends (May this year) and re-made for the entire next season in the late summer. This is a highly interesting process because it requires 90 tonnes of ice to be made.

2. 9. 2010 - Songs of the legendary four – ABBA – will be heard in Prague O2 arena on 15 January from 8 p.m. within the ABBA the Show project. The spectators can look forward to the two-hours-long show packed with the greatest hits, authentic contemporary costumes, lights and the precisely copied choreography.

18. 8. 2010 - Famous Canadian ensemble Cirque du Soleil will present Saltimbanco, its most successful show, which has already attracted more than 11.5 million spectators globally, in O2 arena, Prague, on 12-14 November 2010.

6. 8. 2010 - From 7 August 2010 the tickets for world famous violinist Vanessa-Mae concert which will be held on 18 October 2010 in the Prague’s O2 arena will be on sale at all SAZKA terminals. From 8 August 2010, they can be booked over the Internet at www.sazkaticket.cz.

26. 7. 2010 - World famous dance show Lord of the Dance, which has been seen by over 50 million people in 40 different countries over its existence, will return to the Czech Republic. Over 200,000 spectators watched the performance in the Czech Republic over the past years. The tour in the Czech Republic will take place from 2 to 10 March 2011. The Prague performance of Lord of the Dance will be held on 6 March 2011 in O2 arena.

12. 7. 2010 - In compliance with the issue documentation and repayment schedule, SAZKA, a.s., has made another repayment of its bonds, issued to fund the construction of the multipurpose arena in Prague. The repayment of the principal and interest to investors amounted to EUR 12,2 million.

30. 6. 2010 - British rock musician Joe Cocker will perform in O2 arena, Prague, on Thursday, 18 November 2010, after three years. This will be one of the concerts of the European part of his “Hard Knocks Tour” to promote his new album “Hard Knocks”, to be released in early September.

22. 6. 2010 - British musician and songwriter Sting has expanded his tour with several dates in European cities and will also perform in the Czech Republic. Sting will perform his greatest hits on 22 September 2010 in Prague O2 arena accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

14. 6. 2010 - As part of its tour, phenomenal rock band Guns N’Roses will perform on 27 September 2010 at 8:00 p.m. in O2 arena, Prague. At its concert, the band will present its greatest hits of the late 1980’s, as well as new tracks from its latest album Chinese Democracy.
