A unique dance event awaits the Czech Republic in the fall of 2025. The legendary TV show StarDance is going on tour for the first time in its history and will visit six major cities.

Eight competing couples consisting of popular personalities and professional dancers, a live orchestra, a star jury and the traditional host couple Tereza Kostková and Marek Eben – all in one place will bring viewers what they know from the TV screen. The highlight of the entire tour will be the finale in Prague’s O2 Arena, where the filming of a special New Year’s Eve episode of Czech Television will also take place.

Interview with creative producer Lucie Kapounová and director Vít Bělohradský

StarDance is going off-television for the first time. What led you to do this?
Lucie Kapounová: The audience loved the show so much that we wanted to give them the opportunity to experience it differently than on the screen. The atmosphere of a full hall is irreplaceable.

How does working on a show in an arena differ from a classic television broadcast?
Vít Bělohradský: On TV, we help each other by switching cameras and taking close-ups. In the arena, we have to play to every corner of the hall so that everyone feels like they are part of a big whole.

Will the tour also bring new things that we don’t normally see in the competition?
Lucie Kapounová: Yes, we are preparing special choreographies and musical numbers created just for the StarDance Tour. At the same time, we will bring together personalities and professionals from different years for the first time.

How important is the audience itself on the tour?
Vít Bělohradský: Enormous. Their reactions create an atmosphere that pushes the performance even further. That is the magic of a live performance.

What are you personally looking forward to the most?
Lucie Kapounová: Connecting all generations of StarDance in one evening.
Vít Bělohradský: And I am looking forward to the moment when the lights above the arena turn on for the first time and the audience sees the dance floor – it will be magical.
