Elán is heading to Prague’s O2 Arena. On June 9, 2026, they will perform in the largest multifunctional hall in the Czech Republic and welcome former band members to the stage.

The Slovak group around the main leader of the band Jožo Ráž, which has been writing the history of an incredible 58 years, will organize a magnificent concert in Prague with the participation of current band members, but also musicians who have formed the core of the Bratislava Czechoslovak legend since 1981. This will be a great experience for loyal witnesses, but also for the younger audience who did not have the chance to experience some of Elán’s teammates live.

The concert with the concept of Elán & Kamarádi will offer an exceptional atmosphere, above-standard production and also songs that are not often played live.

“I have long had in my mind that we would bring our “Elán” friends back to the stage, with whom we created the history of our band. I think that we all want to experience such a friendly atmosphere. Both the fans who have accompanied us throughout our career and the ever-increasing number of new ones who only listen and read about the former members. When we combine it with the latest technology, a nostalgic atmosphere and throw in some tunes that we don’t often play, we have a lot of fun,” explains the now 71-year-old leader of the band Jožo Ráž.

The band Elán was formed in 1968. It has released fifteen studio albums, five English albums and a number of compilations, for the sales of which it has received an incredible 25 platinum records. The pillars of the band are Jožo Ráž (vocals, bass) and Jano Baláž (vocals, guitar). One of the band’s founders, Vašo Patejdl (keyboards, vocals), died in August 2023.

Elán last performed in Prague in 2024, when it sold out the O2 arena three times in a row and then filled the largest Slovak hockey stadium in Bratislava. The band then announced performances in Brno, Ostrava and twice in Košice, which sold out within a few months, almost a year before they took place. This year, the band has concerts scheduled only in Slovak amphitheaters with a capacity of around 16,000 people, and almost all of them are fast approaching sell-out.

In the spring of 2024, the band released the single Znova sa ma dotkni after five years, which immediately after the announcement became another energetic hit that is destroying listenership. Whether this is a harbinger of a new album, the band will answer very soon and perhaps the premiere is offered in Prague.
