july 23, 2025

The Prince of Darkness – Ozzy Osbourne – left this music world on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the age of 76. The family issued a statement requesting privacy: “It is with greater sadness than mere words can express that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning.”

The British singer, who started out in the band Black Sabbath and later established himself as a solo artist, had been struggling with Parkinson’s disease for a long time.

On July 5, 2025, he played his last concert with the band Black Sabbath in his hometown of Birmingham, where he said a proper farewell to his fans. The concert, called “Back to the Beginning”, was a benefit concert – an incredible 140 million pounds were raised. The proceeds will be donated to the Acorns children’s hospice, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the Cure Parkinson’s organization. Many bands performed at the event, such as Metallica, Slayer and Guns N’ Roses.

Ozzy has even played at the O2 arena several times.

For example, in 2007 as part of the Black Rain Tour, which attracted 15,681 visitors. In 2012, he returned with the Ozzy & Friends Tour project – he was accompanied on stage by Geezer Butler and Zakk Wylde, and 15,077 fans did not miss the concert.

And in 2013, he performed together with Black Sabbath as part of the 13 Tour, which was attended by an incredible 16,619 fans.

Ozzy, thank you for the wonderful cultural experiences. We express our sincere condolences to the family.
