The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2024 returns to the Czech Republic along with the legendary mascots Bob and Bobek. The event will take place from 10 to 26 May 2024, in Prague and Ostrava. Czech ice hockey stars will showcase their skills to the audience in Prague.
In addition to the Czech team, Group A, which is played in the capital city, will feature the reigning world champions from Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Austria, and Great Britain. A total of 28 preliminary round games, two quarter-finals, both semi-final games, and the medal games for bronze and gold will be held in Prague. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the climax of the sporting event of the 2024 in the Czech Republic. The top four teams will compete for the final spots at Prague Arena on Saturday 25 May, from 14:20 and 18:20 CET.
2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship – complete match schedule
Entertainment will be provided by the beloved duo of rabbits Bob and Bobek, with numbers 20 and 24 on their jerseys, representing the year of the championship together. The fan zone will be expanded near the arena, offering visitors a giant screen, delicious refreshments, and a fantastic accompanying program. There will be no shortage of entertainment thanks to the presenters and performances by interesting guests. The 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship returns to the Czech Republic only once every ten years. Each game will be accompanied by a unique atmosphere complemented by an unforgettable show.

Players will compete for medals made of crystal glass on Sunday 26 May – from 15:20 CET for bronze and from 20:20 CET for gold. Tickets for the playoffs and the final weekend are available through the Ticketmaster network.
Tickets for the preliminary rounds can be purchased through the Ticketportal network, with the cheapest ticket starting at 490 koruna. Family Game tickets are also available. Specifically, these are Saturdays 11 and 18 May, and Tuesday 21 May, starting at 12:20 CET. For just 190 CZK, organisers offer the opportunity to witness the artistry of the Canadian team or the elite line-ups from Switzerland in Prague.
