Greta Van Fleet to perform in the Czech Republic for the first time with Into The Beginning tour and new album
Greta Van Fleet are set to perform in the Czech Republic for the first time. The GRAMMY Award winners, and one of the most distinctive rock bands of their generation, will bring their ‘Into The Beginning’ tour to Prague’s O2 arena on 22 May 2027, where they will also present their new album, *PALACE FOR THE PEOPLE*. The American duo Larkin Poe will be the special guests of the evening.
The tour announcement comes shortly after the release of the latest single, “Tear It Down”, from the upcoming album *PALACE FOR THE PEOPLE*, due out on 9 October via Republic Records. The track follows on from the singles “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand”, which the band also performed on the TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and offers another taste of the new album.
On PALACE FOR THE PEOPLE, Greta Van Fleet continue to explore themes of humanity, interconnectedness, resilience and pushing boundaries. On the album, the band builds on distinctive vocals, powerful guitar riffs and solos, whilst expanding their signature rock sound with more sweeping, at times almost symphonic elements. The new release represents another significant step in the band’s musical evolution and their most ambitious creative chapter to date.
Ahead of the ‘Into The Beginning’ tour and to mark the release of their new album, Greta Van Fleet will play a series of three intimate concerts at The Basement East in Nashville this October.
Greta Van Fleet were formed in 2012 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. From gigs in local bars and clubs, they gradually worked their way up to the stages of arenas and stadiums around the world. The band consists of brothers Josh Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (guitar) and Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards), alongside Daniel Wagner (drums). Over the course of their career, they have released several multi-platinum albums, completed sold-out world tours and won a GRAMMY Award.
The material for *PALACE FOR THE PEOPLE* was recorded, amongst other places, in a remote cabin in Tennessee, where the band drew on the long-standing creative chemistry between its members. They then teamed up for the first time with producer Mike Elizondo, who has previously worked with artists such as Turnstile, Eminem, Fiona Apple and Dr Dre. The result is an album that marks the start of a new chapter in Greta Van Fleet’s career and takes their take on rock ’n’ roll in a new direction.
