Divokej Bill will celebrate his quarter-century of existence. “It’s going to be big and wild,” the band tells its fans

Looks like 2023 is going to be Divokej Bill’s year. To celebrate 25 years on the scene, its members have decided to release their eighth studio album, an outdoor concert tour that will include 25 stops across the country and will return to Prague’s O2 arena on January 19, 2024. Tickets will go on sale for fan club members on December 5, with official sales beginning on December 7.

Divokej Bill is undoubtedly one of the stalwarts of the domestic music scene. They have sold out concerts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, have a lot of radio hits and seven studio albums, to which another one will be added next year. “Five years have passed very quickly since the last album and it’s time to come up with something new. Plus, the desire to create has come along, so it’s all intersected beautifully. At the moment we are in the studio of SONO DOUPĚ Records, where it’s all brewing. So we hope that if we don’t burn it, the fans will be able to taste something already in the spring,” says singer Vašek Bláha with a smile.

The new album is still in the process, but the band introduced one musical novelty last week in the form of a music video. The song “Temný král” (Dark King) was composed and recorded for the sequel to the successful film fairy tale “Princezna zakletá v čase” (The Princess Enchanted in Time), which was released in November.

The twenty-five year celebration is planned in style. “Since the beginning of our existence, we’ve put the emphasis on playing live and maybe that’s why so many of our fans have stuck with us. So we will celebrate the way we like it. From June to September we will play twenty-five open air concerts. We’ve called the whole thing DIVOKEJ BILL – 25 YEARS,” laughs guitarist Roman Procházka.

“In January 2024, we decided to return to the O2 arena, where we would like to finish the celebration of our twenty-fifth anniversary,” adds violinist Adam Karlík about our future plans. How the whole tour and the O2 arena performance will be accommodated, the band is still keeping secret. “It’s all in preparation, we will gradually reveal our guests, and there will be many other things connected with it, so we don’t want to reveal it all at once. But we believe it will be worth it,” explains Adam Karlík.

Tickets for the DIVOKEJ BILL - 25 YEARS tour and for the concert at the O2 arena will go on sale on 5 December as a priority for fan club members. Tickets will go on sale to the public on 7 December 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the official Ticketmaster and Ticketportal outlets.
