The legendary German rock band Scorpions is returning to the Czech Republic! One of the most successful hard rock groups of all time will perform at Prague’s O2 arena on June 9, 2027. Fans can look forward to an evening filled with unforgettable hits, iconic guitar riffs, and the electrifying energy that has defined the Scorpions for over six decades. Led by charismatic vocalist Klaus Meine, the band will revisit tracks that have left an indelible mark on the history of rock music, including “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” “Still Loving You,” and the timeless ballad “Wind of Change.”
The Scorpions rank among the most significant and influential rock bands in music history. Formed in 1965 in Hanover, Germany, the group has built a global reputation over the course of an extraordinary career, thanks to their unmistakable sound, high-energy live performances, and an ability to connect with audiences across generations. They have sold over 100 million records and played countless shows on the world’s biggest stages.
Their major breakthrough arrived in the 1980s with the albums *Blackout* and *Love at First Sting*, which catapulted the band into the global rock elite. It was during this era that hits such as “No One Like You,” “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” and “Big City Nights” emerged—songs that remain an essential part of their concert repertoire to this day. The Scorpions also gained fame for their emotive ballads, most notably “Still Loving You” and “Send Me an Angel.” The song “Wind of Change” holds a truly unique place in their discography, having become a symbol of the political and social shifts that took place at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. Inspired by the atmosphere surrounding the end of the Cold War, the track remains one of the most iconic rock ballads of all time.
Even after more than sixty years on the scene, the Scorpions have lost none of their energy. Their concerts are renowned for precise musicianship, striking guitar solos, and a unique atmosphere that brings together fans from multiple generations. On June 9, 2027, Prague’s O2 arena will host another spectacular rock event, offering a retrospective of the extraordinary career of one of the most significant bands in the genre.
